With the relatively new emphasis on “green technology”, as well as the generous tax credits that our (US) government provides today, many of us have become very interested in renewable energy systems. Renewable energy, in general, is the conversion of a naturally occurring energy source into a form that we can readily use. We will mostly be concerned with two forms of renewable energy in this blog. They generate electricity and are:
• Windmills
• Solar Panels
unfortunately, neither of these generates electrical power that can be easily connected to our homes. Therefore, we will also be concerned with voltage controllers and inverters.
All of the above technologies have recently undergone resurgence in development for our urban environments. For example, wind mills have been engineered to be smaller, generate less noise, and operate at lower wind velocities so that more of us can use them.
